What's up guys!!!!! So for today all of the MADPP students had joined a run under a program organized by Ministry of Youth and Sports. It is an annual program and for this year Kuala Kangsar was chosen to be the host for Perak. It is a tiring day but fun and a lot of activities were organized by them such as 5 km and 10 km run, 30 km cycling, zumba dancing, and sports exhibition.
In Malaysia, we have such a sporting minister, YB Khairy Jamaluddin
Enough with that Fit Malaysia and Fit Perak. Let's proceed with the vocab of the day and the characters for today are from *drum rolls* The Simpsons.
1. Cajole- to persuade somebody to do something by talking to them and being very nice
Due to Homer's health condition he was not allowed to consume fast food and this situation had made him to cajole Marge into giving permission for him to go to the burger shop.
2. Canvass- to try to persuade people to vote for a particular person or party in an election
Mayor Quimby is trying very hard to canvass the residents of Springfield and he was almost caught by the police because of bribery for his position to be the president of United States of America.
3. Capitulate- to stop fighting and accept that you have lost; to give in to somebody
Bart is matured enough to differentiate between good and bad and made him to capitulate even though he still have a chance to win the fighting competition if he continued for the rematch.
4. Capricious- changing behavior suddenly in a way that is difficult to predict
A series of failure and frustrations faced by Lisa made her to become capricious, lonely, secluded and this situation somehow has produce a large gap between her family and herself.
5. Ceaseless- continuing for a long time without stopping
Ned Flander were detained in hospital for another one week because he was not fully recovered after working ceaselessly at the farm because he want to earn extra money for his children's education.
